Bosco Barona

From Barbera grapes in purity, Andre Mutti selects and cultivates in one hectare with a density of 5000 stocks on the Sarezzano vineyard. Vinification with maceration of the peels for approximately 12 days, and then ìsvinaturaî and passage in ìbarriqueî, (part new and part used) for 14 months minimum, and then additional sharpening in bottle for at least 6 months.

The color is clear, deep and tending to a grenade color. The scent is complex and very persistent, with a prevalence of marasca, marmelade of cherries, blackberry bushes. Beyond the spicy scents of the wood you find a very big balance of the grapes. In your mouth it is very structured, warm and of great harmony in spite of the elevated tannens. The 2006 has 14.5% alcohol. It is meant to drink in the large ballonat 17/18°C, and paired with an agnolotti of stew (wild boar in Italy).
